E-mail West Coast Women of the Word

This ministry is made up of  Women of the Word, not only in Sonoma County, but has expanded to include women of the Word along the West Coast. 

Our purpose is "to be servants of the Lord, providing an opportunity for women to come taste and see the goodness of the Lord".  When we pass through the temple gate (salvation) we taste God's goodness.

The scripture base for our ministry is Ezekiel 37:10.  "So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath entered them:  they came to life and stood up on their feet -- a vast army."

To unite women of the Word as one vast army for God's glory is our goal.  At present, 6 churches are represented by our directors in this ministry.

We had our kick-off with a tea on May 18, 2008, hosted by West County Community Church in Sebastopol.  Ladies from 41 county churches were inivited.  The event was attended by 42 ladies representing 11 churches.

Our first women's retreat was attended by 60 ladies from 8 counties.  God's presence was very humbling and all were blessed by the rich fellowship, worship and insights from Libby Vincent, our speaker.

We want to be a place of restoration and refreshing for ministry leaders and workers, so they may go back into their ministry fields with a renewed strength.  As God's children, we must let Him build His character in us.  This is how He prepares us to do His work.  Also, we want to present a welcoming enviornment for those seeking to taste and see that the Lord is good.
